S/O of Michelle's apple cake recipe....
While we're on the topic of holiday baking, is anybody doing baking this year for the holidays?? What are you making?
I did gingerbread men and eggnog cookies so far. Tomorrow I'll be doing coconut bars and Irish Cream truffle fudge.

Re: S/O of Michelle's apple cake recipe....
I'm on a strict diet and if I can make it through the holidays, I can do it anytime. BUT that doesn't stop me from baking! For our holiday party I made some peppermint bark. Yesterday with my preschoolers we made cinn muffins and for christmas with DH's family, I am baking cheesecake bites. It stinks not eating them, but it gives me joy seeing how other people enjoy them so much!
Can I have your recipe for the truffle fudge?
i
holiday baking! if you have a cookie press, try these! they are my favorite!! and they are great for giving away - the recipe makes a ton.
Snowflakes
1 cup butter (2sticks)
1 3-ounce package cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream together butter, cream cheese and sugar. Beat in egg yolk, vanilla and orange zest. Sift together flour, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually blend flour mixture into butter mixture. Fill cookie press. Form cookies on ungreased cookie sheets. Sprinkle with colored sugar, if desired. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Remove at once to cooling racks.
Sorry but what does S/O mean? LOL still trying to get the lingo down

Jacqui, I cheated on these. I had some mix in the freezer that I bought from a fundraiser and used it. If I find a recipe I will send it your way though.
I believe it means spin-off
