It's Monday!

Hola!

What a busy weekend it was for me :-) I wish I could say it was because I did something fun and exciting, but alas...not. Just worked like a mad person on a Year End Comp project that grew arms, legs and a head and started telling me what to do! LOL

But now, I have a breather! And hopefully I can get some Christmas shopping done this week :-))

So what did you  guys do this weekend? Anything fun??

Re: It's Monday!

  • On Friday night we just chilled out & I made SD's cake for her birthday.

On Saturday I cooked & cleaned all day b/c we were celebrating SD's 10th birthday that night. The in-laws and my parents came over. SD picked the menu & I cooked. She wanted twice baked potatoes, brussle sprouts (I know I was surprised too!), and her Dad's hot wings. He also grilled some chicken breasts. For dessert I made a chocolate Cappichino (SP?) cheesecake. I must say it was FAB-U-LOUS! Yum!!! SD got some great gifts including a hot pink RipStik.

Sunday we went to church & then over to DH's parents for lunch. That afternoon one of SD's friends came over to play & decorate Christmas cookies.

It was a fun weekend! :)

  • We had a good weekend which we needed.  Thursday, H was in an accident on his way home from work.  Luckily, no one was hurt, but his truck received quite a bit of damage.  So we only had 1 vehicle Friday and Saturday morning.

Friday morning, I took H to work and ran some errands.  Then picked him up in the evening. We just hung out at home because he had to go back to work around 10ish that night for about 2 hours.

Saturday, H had to work in the morning.  Then we picked up his rental car and headed to lunch with his sister and BIL.  After lunch, I went to Wal-mart and H did some of his Christmas shopping (he's still not finished with me).  That night, we laid low around the apartment.

Sunday was FRIGID here.  H had to work for a bit in the afternoon.  I wrapped some more Christmas presents and made dinner.  We played Sorry after dinner for something to do.

  • We went to MIL's house for her 65th birthday. We were supposed to go to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens, but it rained, so we just went out to dinner instead. We also all learned that SIL & BIL are expecting their 2nd child in July! Nobody saw this coming, especially since their first is only 11 months old and they are already 10 weeks along. So overall it was an eventful weekend.

  • Friday I felt like crap in the evening so I just went to  bed early.

Saturday I went to Costco and got my new phone with DH. Merry early  Christmas to me! I played with my phone the rest of the day of course.

Sunday I spent the day with my dad and a little with my bff Brenna. Her mom gave us a wedding/ snowman ornament for Christmas! I'll have to PIP later. Nice but fast weekend.

  • You show that year end project who is boss!

My weekend was good but not at all exciting...some christmas shopping/wrapping/decorating, and stuff like that.

It was the first weekend I didn't work in a long time, so it was especially peaceful!

  • Saturday I finished the last of my shopping, both for gifts and for my baking needs. We chilled for a bit and I wrapped the rest of my gifts then we picked up Amanda for the night and headed over my parents house for pizza. Mike and my dad watched a movie while my mom, Amanda & I decorated the tree.

Yesterday I finished my baking and did my Christmas cards while we watched the Lions game. Dinner over my parents again so Mike could snow blow their driveway.

  • Ugh, I had to work all weekend too, while trying to get over this stupid cold!  But I at least had breaks at night for holiday parties!  Can't wait for next weekend when I go home to MI and have 2 weeks off of work!!!

  • Friday I went shopping with my mom and sister.  We were supposed to head OOT but with the impending snow storm we stayed close to home.

Saturday:  Woke up to 6 inches of snow.  Walked to Old Navy to get their $5 fleece deal.  Shoveled snow a couple times (our BRAND NEW snowblower didn't work!!!!), walked the doggies, wrapped christmas presents, and watched Despicable Me.

Sunday:  Shoveled more snow, watched Packer game, and tried watching some other movies but they weren't any good.

We had about 15 inches of snow over the weekend!!! It sucked but I'm glad I didn't drive in it.
