Morning!

Another Monday, only 1 more for me until break.  It's rainy and they are calling for flurries later today.  Yuck!  Too early for snow down here.

Still working on the fireplace, we spent all day Saturday and most of yesterday working on it.  Hopefully DH will get some more done this week, so the weekend is just grouting and final paint.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Re: Morning!

  • Morning. We had a good weekend. We saw Santa and that went OK, I was hoping for a better smile (instead of the bawling we got) but he was tired and it was a good as we could expect given that circumstance.

I read a work email Friday while I was off and it got my blood boiling and it bothered me all weekend. I couldn't sleep last night because of it and other things racing through my mind so I was very tired when I woke up. I think after the new year I'll look for a new job. Regardless of being tired of the way things are going around here, I want something closer to home anyway.

We got a dusting of snow overnight. Just the cars were covered and fortunately didn't mess up my commute tooooo much.

  • Morning!

The weather up here is crazy, it rained, then snowed like mad, so it was somewhat slushy under all the snow then of course the temps dropped drastically so we have ice everywhere. I totally thought I was gong to fall on my booty.

Hope everyone is having a decent Monday.

  • Morning.  I can't wait to go home, curl up in my sweats on the couch, and do nothing.  AF finally started last night (about 6 days late) and cramps are awful today.  My weekend was alright.  Friday night we ordered pizza and watched a movie.  Saturday DH worked and I ran a couple errands, got a pedicure, and had my first salted caramel hot chocolate.  Saturday evening was my work holiday party where I proceeded to drink lots.  It was fun.  Nice to have a bit of a role reversal.  Normally I go to DHs events and until this deployments, really didn't know anyone.  Yesterrday I woke up about 5:30am and couldn't get back to sleep at all during the day.  DH worked for a few hours then went out drinking for a few hours.  We ordered dinner and went to bed early.

Oh Summer that stinks!!! I am sorry you had to deal with that, do you have a blackberry for work? I do and know how hard it is to not open e-mails when the light goes off then it tends to ruin my time off (basically something similar happened to me on Friday).

Yep, exactly Pooks. I thought I'd take a look and saw I had like 20 emails before 11 and would just look through and delete the junk and see if I had gotten a response about something and saw it. I'm sort of glad I did so I was able to calmly craft a well thought out response this morning but I'm annoyed b/c lately EVERYTHING I say has been running through my mind over and over so the conversation that started the drama was doing that all weekend.

Oh I hate that so much. I know what you mean!! I have to hand it to you though, 50% of the time I send a reply back even if I am off. I have been trying to figure out a way to turn off the alert for my emails and still haven't figured it out. LOL

  • Morning ladies. We had a busy weekend, but it was good. I'm off today and have already went to the grocery store and baked two batches of chocolate chip cookies, and addressed most of our Christmas cards. Next on the agenda is oatmeal raisin cookies for Andrew.

  • Afternoon!!! I had a wonderful weekend.  Crazy busy, but still fun!

Fri, relaxed a bit, and did some planning for the weekend and for this week when I'm going to get things done.

Sat- Headed to Buffalo.  Met up with Puggs, Chris and Kiley.  It was so good to see Jessica and Chris and finially get to meet little Kiley. Kiley is absolutely adorable and still so tiny.  Such a good baby.  She only fussed a few times, but to her credit it was nap time.  Then we headed back to my IL's to relax there a little while, helped them decorate their tree and had a light dinner.  Then went to a xmas party at my friends place.  It was a fun evening, even if I had a raging headache all night.  The wine helped!

Sun: woke up early to head back home to Roch so we could get our xmas tree.  Lots of fund we always go with my cousins.  It was a little icy/muddy but there was still plenty of deep snow so it was nice not having to see green grass when picking out the tree.  We spent the rest of the night planning for the week, doing some finishing touches on gifts that are to be mailed out and putting the lights on the tree.

Oh I did but it was a quick, this is a misunderstanding, I'll respond on Monday kind of thing. Then I called my boss who was like, "aren't you on PTO?" and i was like, "yes, but I couldn't let this go!"

  • Good evening!?  Ugh, I'm so busy at work right now and it will continue through the end of January.  I'm not ignoring you!  I try to get on at lunch, but the nest is so slow for me.

Also, funny story: I cried because birds pooed all over my car yesterday.  I mean ALL OVER, like all the birds in the area devised a plan against me while I went into work for a couple hours.  Work has me stressed, it's just the poo that put me over the edge.
