little girl diaper changing question

When you wipe your little girl "up front" during a diaper change does she flinch?  Or say it hurts?  Cassidy has pretty much always done this and I obviously have to clean in there, but I always feel so bad.  I just assumed that is a sensitive area and didn't worry too much about it but at the same time I don't want to ignore something that may be a bigger issue.  She's not red or swollen or anything...

  • Paige flinches too.  yeah its tough when there is a messy poop to check to see if you got it all.

  • Melinda flinches too. Sometimes she just flinches, other times she flinches and says it hurts.  I never quite know what to think because, like you said, she's not red or swollen.  I wonder if it's the coldness of the wipe on top of what's already a sensitive area.

  • Ditto the other ladies, Layne will do both.  But sometimes I wonder if she says ouch because that is all she knows - like she doesn't know how to say "that feels weird" or "that's uncomfortable" kwim?  Just that she doesn't like it so she says ouch.
  • great, thanks ladies!  i think i may try a wipe warmer...
