Has anyone every been to cambridge hall? If so what was your experience there. I'm helping my friend look at halls for her wedding and we are having a hard time, every place so far we have looked is too small. She needs a hall that hold 250 or more. Any help and info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!
Re: Hall Help Please!
I really like Cambridge, the food is good and they are great to work with. You can also bring your own alcohol in. However they are pricey per plate. Very similar to what you would pay for a place that you can't bring your own alcohol in.
There are quite a few halls that hold 250+. What area of town are you looking for?
I loved the hall we used, which is the Electrical Industry Hall in Rossford. It doesn't sound nice, but it really is, and it is VERY reasonably priced, plus you can bring your own alcohol to save $.
Other options to consider (although I do not know full pricing information) are:
Franciscan Center @ Lourde's College
Sullivan Center @ Gesu
OakShade Grove
Heatherdowns Country Club
The Event Center
Graystone Banquet Hall
The hall where Merin had her reception is very nice...I've helped out the catering company there a few times (I believe that Premier is still the exclusive caterer for that place) and I've been to a few other weddings there. My hall was not far from there - St. George Orthodox Hall Buck & Glenwood in Rossford right next to 75. My guest list was close to 300. We were able to bring in our own alcohol and could choose from 6 different caterers (we went with Premier).
Another not mentioned is Holland Gardens - although a co-worker went to a Christmas party there the other night and said the food was horrible...not sure if they do their own catering or what.
Parkway Plaza is nice from what I understand. I think that's the 'sister' hall of Cambridge.
Erie Street Market - that was our original choice, but the former manager was an absolute nightmare to deal with. A friend of ours is having her reception there and I've been to another reception there.
I have quite a few!! Some from when we checked it out and some from our reception. Shoot me an e-mail - merin1011 at yahoo - and I'll send you some from home tonight.
