Yep, it's Monday

What a day already.

Woke up at 4:45am and realized A was still sleeping, yay! But I couldn't fall back to sleep. He woke up at 6:45. He doesn't sleep through the night yet, but hopefully this will continue and I'll stay asleep.

Woke up to 6 inches of snow, and they are calling for a possibility of up to 2 feet by the time the system passes through on Wednesday. How is everyone else doing that is in the storm's path?

Then when A was down for his nap, I noticed it was cold. I look at the thermostat and it was down to 64 degrees. We keep it between 68-70. I call DH and he doesn't answer, by the time he calls back it is down to 62 and keeps falling. Since it is snowing and blowing, and our street isn't plowed,  I'm not comfortable driving with A in this weather. DH leaves work, comes home thinking it will be an easy fix, but of course it isn't. By this time we're down to 58 degrees. A & I go upstairs and we put 2 space heaters on in our bedroom. We call a company and they send someone out within an hour to fix our furnace. $200 later, we have heat.

I just want to go back to bed and start today over again! Any one else have anything to vent about?

To end on a positive note, took A to see Santa last week. See my new siggy pic. What you can't see, but they are on our pictures at home, are his 2 bottom teeth, boy are they sharp!

  • Oh no! I hate to hear that about your furnace. Hopefully you don't have any more problems.

I love the siggy pic. A looks like such a little man.

  • That sucks about the furnace -- glad you got it fixed though.

It's been pretty Monday-y around here too. I slammed my fingers in a trunk (like, a box - not of a car) while I was putting away some wedding memorabilia I just found while cleaning out another box of misc. items. I was going to try and peel a butternut squash for the first time, but I decided not to push my luck and am just baking it in its skin instead.

  • That sucks when you wake up before they do. I still have that problem on the weekends. We have been having problems with our heat too but since we rent, we didn't have to pay for it. The bad part is that it took them longer to get to our building to fix it so Amelia played with her blanket most of the day. I love the pic of A - he is getting so big!
