christmas memory

1. what's your FIRST christmas time memory?

2. what's your FAVORITE christmas time memory?

Re: christmas memory

  • 1. first memory i can remember vividly i think it was 1992 - i was in 2nd grade. i woke up christmas morning and ran to the tree (it was SUPER early) and i saw that my sister and i got these huge stuffed christmas bears so i ran back to our room and told my sister what i saw and she was so mad at me for telling her, lol.

    2. favorite memory - just all the christmas' that my family spent going to christmas eve service, going to eat at the local mexican food restaurant then going home to open presents. this was a tradition for 10+ years .....

  • First memory-To be honest I really can't remember back that far these days, so I have no clue what all I got. I do know that I usually secretly opened my gifts to see what they were and then taped them back where my mom could not tell I opened them. I was always curious, so it killed me to have presents under the tree that I didn't know what they were :)

Favorite memory-Making new memories with the hubs. I started the tradition of fixing cinnimon (sp?) buns for christmas morning, since I never fix them for him during the year. I have done this for the past 3 years.

  • first and favorite are the same memory

Christmas morning my sister and I weren't allowed to get out of bed until we heard dad ring the sleigh bells.  He would walk up and down the hall saying Ho, Ho, Ho ringing the bells.  Then we would get up and run down the hall to see all of our gifts.

My mom is big on traditions, so we have a ton.  When we were kids, we would open our stockings, then eat breakfast, then open gifts.  The last few years, Mom has bought everyone Christmasy pajama pants that we open on Christmas Eve.  We wear them all day on Christmas Day.  Chase even has a pair for this year!

This is so fun!  Will you continue this tradition with Chase?

My 1st that I can remember right now would be when I was in Kindergarten.  We got bikes.

My favorite memory, I cant choose just one.  The holiday season for me is filled with so many awesome memories and experiences.  I remember waking up to find carrot shavings on the front porch from the carrot we had left for rudolph the night before.  I was probably 9.

When we have kids, I want to start Holiday traditions :)
