Would you buy a drop-side (yes, recalled) crib from someone you know? DH?s coworker is selling this crib http://nh.craigslist.org/bab/2037064649.html and has received the kit to ?fix? it since I noticed that it was recalled. It?s a nicer quality crib than we could afford brand new, but is it worth it? They?d ask $150 if we?re the ones buying it.
Another note: it doesn?t match the dresser we have in that room- which is a dark cherry color. In case that would sway your opinion also...
Re: crib question
I wouldn't have a problem with it either, the boys have 4 dropside cribs(2 at our house, 2 at MILs) that we are using... we have the fix kits on them and don't even think of it... our fix kit you can't even tell that there is anything different about them.
but you can also get our crib in non-dropside brand new for around $150-$200... we have the Graco Lauren and love it!
I am just too much of a worrier to use one now.
We also got ours inexpensively and it was a best buy in "Baby Bargains" Its the Davinci Jamie.
