DH and I are in the market for new living room furniture. I was looking at the Dock 86 website and I think I'm in love ;-)
It's about 45 mins from our house and we probably won't go there until sometime in January. I thought I'd ask a few questions before we make the trip there.
1. Do they deliver? (I'm assuming no but thought I'd check)
2. Will they hold things for you? (we don't have vehicles that'll haul furniture easily so we'd have to borrow my Dad's truck and/or trailer)
Are the prices as good as they seem? I'd want to spend around $1,000 and get a sectional or loveseat and couch, with a coffee table and maybe some decor too. Is that possible? Or are you laughing at me right now? :-)
Anyone want to PIP what you've bought there? Anyone care to share what they've bought and in turn what it cost them?
Re: I know we've talked before... Dock 86
Thanks! I didn't even see that part of the website.
1. The prices *can* be as good as they seem. Depends on the product and what is going on with it. We got a GREAT deal on a sofa because a) it was the last one b) it was the floor model and c) there were some minor scratches on the base that we could easily cover up with a stain pen if we wanted but in all probability, our dog would do worse ramming one of her nylabones up against it.
2. They do deliver - for an extra charge.
3. They will hold items you've purchased until you can come back with a vehicle to haul it but I don't believe that they'll hold anything else.
If you see something that you like, don't bet on it being there when you go back. A lot of the items that you see are the only one and they may not have any back stock to replace it when it is gone.
