Does anyone have any to recommend?
I say every year I'm going to get a pair and I never do. I want a pair that are warm and will keep my feet dry. I also want them to be more than halfway fashionable. I will mostly where them for my commute to work and school then change into my heels but I'm sure there may be occasion I would wear them to run to the store or out shopping and I don't want to look like a total geek.
ETA: Do the knock of uggs keep your feet dry?
Re: Snow Boots
I find that knock off Uggs do not keep my feet dry but I have 2 pair and wear them around the house.
his. I got a pair at TJ Maxx years ago...2001ish maybe? And they are still going strong. I'm not the most fashionable, nor do I tend to care that much, but I don't think they are hideous. They're just typical brown leather boots.
I also have a pair of boots by a brand named Pajar. Never heard of them before or since, but I love these because they are super warm and nice and high. You could wear them with jeans/ pants tucked it, but I wear my pant legs over. I have had these for about 3 years and wear them a lot during the winter- no issues yet.
I have a pair of totes snow boots that are awesome. They keep my feet warm and dry. I think I got them 3-4 years ago at either Meijer or Kohls. They are not by any means the most attractive looking pair but they serve their purpose.
I wouldn't want snow to get inside my "Ugg" boots or somehow the outside get ruined; so I personally wouldn't wear them in the snow.
I have knock-off uggs from Costco. BIL bought them for me for Christmas last year but I've seen them in store this year too. I still think uggs are really ugly (sorry for those that think they're cute...JMHO!) but they do keep your tootsies nice and warm so I'll wear them for their functionality and reco them for that purpose
. I've been wearing them in the snow to walk my dog in the morning lately and I haven't had a problem with them getting wet. If you want, you could also treat them with like Scotchgaurd or other water repellant for extra protection.
I also have a pair of Timberlands that I got really cheap from DSW...probably because they're baby blue haha. They aren't as warm and too low to keep the snow out but definitely waterproof.
ETA: Oh I was just browsing and the Timberland Mount Holly Boots in Bone are pretty cute...albeit pricey. These look like they'd be much better snow boots than what I currently have. There's lots of photos that real ppl submitted wearing it in their gallery. Also like the Nellie Boot which doesn't scream "snowboot" so it's a bit more fashionable.
