I'm drinking a poinsettia. Yum.
Wish I had thought of it for Boxerfan when she was asking for fun drinks. It's festive, and strong! Vodka, cranberry, and champagne.
What are your favorite holiday drinks? I feel like liquoring it up for the next few weeks.

Ready to rumble.
Re: I'm drinking a poinsettia. Yum.
I had a delicious cherry sidecar last Christmas.
Maybe the holidays are the right time to listen to the TV and mix DiSarrono and cranberry.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
We need to get together soon.
Word. It's Miller time.
Aside, we went to Mellow Mushroom. You were right-it was greasy. But I liked it. We had the pizza with the potato on it, yum!
It's poinsettia time.
Pizza, po-tay-to, po-tat-o. Bring it.
I'm currently obsessed with milk punch. We had it at RM's baptism party, and we're doing another batch for my extended family Christmas shindig.
3 quarts half-and-half
1 bottle (750 ml) Bourbon
1/4 cup vanilla extract
2 cups powdered sugar
nutmeg to garnish (you could add other wintery spices, too, to good effect, I think)
Combine all in a gallon container and keep in freezer until slightly frozen. Use an ice pick to make the mixture slightly slushy. Pour into punch bowl and sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve in small cocktail glasses and sprinkle each with an additional pinch of nutmeg.
Sometimes you say things that really make me want to have a pocket version of you to keep with me at all times.
Someday you and I will get together and watch this and have a jug of White Russian and drink when the Dude does and hope we don't die.
If your water is salty it might be tears. Or ocean. Or pee.
