Christimas Dessert
My dad asked me to make the dessert for Christimas. I have no idea what to bring. Any suggestions? I think we normally just eat pumpkin pie, but I'm not really feeling that right now.

I am making blueberry gingerbread for Christmas Eve.
I usually request lemon meringue pie for Christmas dinner. My mother also makes an excellent eggnog pie.

If you can slice a pear you can make this. Takes about 20 minutes, so you can even do it after dinner and it'll be ready and cooled off a bit by the time people start thinking about dessert. You could even sub cranberries for the cherries to make it more seasonal.

I made this cranberry roll thing last year (think buche de noel) last year that was some amount of work, but it was so good. And pretty fun to make, if you have time to piddle around with it,
