Marathon Boudoir Session?
Hi all!
Some friends and I are trying to look into having a photographer do a marathon boudoir session for us - all of us will go into paying for a location (a hotel, most likely?) and sharing the photographer time.
One of my friends has a photog friend that lives in New Jersey and that friend said she would do our sitting for free if we paid for her plane ticket and hotel room for the weekend. She's quoting us at $250 each and that would include a half hour sitting for each of us and a CD with 15 retouched pictures.
Does anyone have any experience in getting boudoir pictures done and can you recommend some photographers for me? I just want to do some price comparisons so that I know that we're getting the best deal.

I did a boudoir session w/Amber Procaccini in the Spring of '09 and I think it was around that price or a little less. She is having a marathon session Jan 8/9 and includes hair and makeup. I also got about 25-30 proofs. She did a fabulous job and she's super fun. My session was at the Hotel Minneapolis, but I'm not sure where this one is, you'll have to check with her.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Katrina Hanneman at Studio Laguna. She has a lot of experience with the kind of thing you are talking about. Her website is www.stulagu.com

I worked with Sally of La Vie Photography - and I could not rave enough about her. She is fabulous at what she does.
I have to say - 30 minutes is not a lot of shooting time. I would try for at least an hour personally.
I did my shoot at the Chambers downtown. Rooms are sort of spendy but if you are splitting the cost you could make a girls night of it afterwards - my SIL joined me after and we went out for dinner and drinks after my shoot was over!
