Local artist for portrait?
Good Tuesday, ladies 
I am looking for a local artist (or someone I can email, mail, but don't have to travel across the country for) to do a painting or drawing for a anniversary gift.I have 3 months to comission someone. It doesn't have to be a Rembrandt, but would prefer it not to be stick figures either. Any suggetions? Thanks so much!

Depending on how much you want to spend, you could try calling some of the local galleries. A lot of the artists they represent will take commission pieces.

I just had some small portraits of pets done by a girl I found on Etsy. http://blairecannon.blogspot.com/
In my Etsy search, I also came across artists who do people portraits, at tons of different price points. I'd start there.
