Those of you who are sports fans can appreciate this... I am so excited that the Phillies signed Cliff Lee I can barely sit still. Halladay, Lee, Oswalt, and Hamels!!!! Hello World Series!!!
It's amazing how something so trivial can really elevate your mood!

I'm also thankful fpr this with you girls! As a Sox fan, I have to send the Phillies a 'thank you' for signing him, because it keeps him away from the Yankess
It will make our season a bit easier not having to face Cliff Lee 4+ times this season! We'll see you guys in the World Series! 
He handled the news pretty well, suprisingly. He came running into our bedroom at midnight to tell me the news, he saw it on Twitter before it hit the media. He's totally annoyed but at least he likes the Phils, he'd prefer Lee going there over the Rangers. Unfortunately it's not looking good for the Yanks this year, especially with the moves the Red Sox have made. Erica, we may indeed have a Sox/Phils world series!
The fans that spit on Cliff Lee's wife a couple months ago didn't help matters for the Yankees. I read today that his wife refused to move to NY which was one of the deciding factors for him. Usually it's Philly phans that get the bad rap, but he loves them!

I have an opposite sports thought...the Cards got rid of Brendan Ryan for a freakin Class A pitcher!!!! I know that Ryan wasn't the greatest hitter, but we need a good shortstop again. WTF is a Class A pitcher gonna do for us next season?!?!?! H and I thought the same thing...."what a stupid move that was".
