My husband and I do not want kids. I am tired of being on the pill, we have tired FAM and an IUD but not happy with either and want something permanent. Considering a vasectomy for husband and curious if you or your husband noticed any changes or had complications post-op?
Re: Sex After Vasectomy
My ex had a vasectomy during the time we were dating. He recovered very quickly and we had no problems. There are a small percentage of men who don't have an easy time of it (just google "vasectomy horror stories" but don't say I didn't warn you). From what I understand though, it's routine and minor surgery.
Quick tip: even after he gets his tubes tied, you'll still need to use the pill for a month or so until he, uh, gets it all out of his system. It takes a little while before he'll start shooting blanks.
Ditto.
DH had a rough time after I had him fixed. He was ok until the 3rd day and he decided to help "un-stuck" a visitor who slid off our rural laneway.
DH spent the next three weeks either with an icepack on the "boys", in the Dr's office or sitting in a sitz bath. The horror stories are true and without exaggeration if you don't follow your physician's orders.
DH was still tender and sore at times for the next 1-1/2 years.
