Re: Heather

  • You got a lot done. I am sure your pillow is fine. I think sometimes we don't like something, but others don't see the things that we see.

I don't think I got a lot finished last week, but I started on some things. I did get my snowman soups done and my ornaments for community group.

I finished one of the cupcake books (well I haven't finished the covers or bound them) and working on the other 9. While working on the second one I am cutting everything out at the same time for the other 8, so hopefully once I finish with the letter Z, I can start an assembly line for the other 8 and it won't take forever.

I have to mail 2 of them, so I need to get those done this week. My goal is to have them done by Sunday, so that I don't have to work on them on my time off. If I don't get them all done by Christmas that is fine, I can give them to the people after christmas (they don't know I am making them something and not expecting anything)

I also need to sew a bib, burp clothes and taggie blanket. I have until Christmas eve to do this, so I am not in a rush for this.

I finished G's anniversary gift, but I am just not happy with them. I will give them to him and tell him I will redo them and make them better. I need to get the canvas and not what I was using (I think that is my problem). He said they looked fine, but I am not happy with them.

I need to work on some cards.

I think next year I am not going to make as many gifts and I only am going to make gifts for close friends and family. I am enjoying it, but I overestimated things this year, but I learned for next year.

I have pictures of the things I have done in my blog.

  • First of all, I am so jealous of all of your crafts!

Heather, can you post or send me the directions for the taggie blanket.  I was describing it to my mom the other day, but she had never heard of them.

  • I found this tutorial and so far this has been the best one I have found that explains it. You can also add crikley material in the middle to make it crinkly (sp?)

  •  The snowman soup sounds so cute :)

I still need to make 3 food gift baskets (and bake TONS of cookies).  I keep debating wether or not to make those etched beer mugs for my brother.

I saw one of the art works you did for your DH, and thought it was very nice!

Oh, I did send out my Christmas cards last week :)  People thought I made them, LOL (thanks to Targets after Christmas sale last year haha!).

I know what you mean, I plan to do nothing but crafting and sewing on Thursday.  If I make gifts again next year, I will be starting EARLY!  Like May or something.

Going to check your blog now!  PIPs will come from me this week- I promise!!!!
