2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now? They're both from Massachusetts, moved down to Florida about 8 years ago
3. What do they do for a living? My mom is in banking, my dad works for Home Depot

Yes, they will be celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary in April.
2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now?
My mom is from Staten Island, NY and my dad is from Cleveland, OH. They currently live in Orlando.......Conway Area to be exact.
3. What do they do for a living?
My dad is retired but was an engineer for Lockheed Martin for 30 years. My mom is a commercial realtor.
4. How many children do they have?
2 kids. Me and my bro.
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad?
My mom. I don't really have too much in common with my dad. We talk but not every day like me and my ma.
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share?

1. Are your parents married? Today is my parents 36th wedding anniversary. She was 15 he was 17 when they got married.
2. Where are they both from? Both of my parents were born in Florida. Mothers family is from Key West and fathers family is from St. Louis, Where do they currently live now? I currently live with them in Riverview.
3. What do they do for a living? My father owns a car battery business that he started in 91. My mother works as payroll for a "high-volume" car dealership.
4. How many children do they have? There are 4 of us.
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? I have a different relationship with each but equally as close.
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? My parents are just all around interesting. The jokes and humor will keep you on your toes

My dad was born in Sarasota, my mom was born in MI, They both live in Brooksville now
3. What do they do for a living?
My dad is retired he used to own a tree nursery. My mom is semi retired, she works part time for Proctor and Gamble.
4. How many children do they have?
They each had 2 when they met, then had 2 together.
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad?
Both.
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share?
1. Are your parents married? Yes. The have been married for 49 years.
2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now? Both are from WV. They live in Melbourne, FL now.
3. What do they do for a living? My father is retired. My mom was a stay at home mom, but has done a part time job for the past 17 years. She works for Hallmark, but she works in the Publix store doing the Hallmark cards.
4. How many children do they have? Two. Me and my older sister
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? Closer to my mom, but I love both my parents. My dad is just not a man of many words, so it tends to be my mom that I talk to.
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? Nothing really. My dad was in the air force and during the time he and my mom have been married, they have lived in 27 places. They were all over the world. My sister was born in Germany.

2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now? Both from MA, now they live in FL. They've been there for about 5 years.
3. What do they do for a living? My mom works for Marriott in their corporate office. My dad is retired. He used to be a computer programer.

6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? Nothing really springs to mind.

2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now? My dad is from east coast (NJ, CT, MA) and my mom is from central Illinois. Both moved to Chicago area in their middle school years.
3. What do they do for a living? My dad works in the electrical distributing industry and my mom works in customer service for a non-profit. They both do very well - I'm so proud! My mom stayed home when my brother and I were young.

5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? my mom - we talk everyday and i ask her advice on everything! im pretty close to my dad too though, just not quite the same relationship.
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? they were high school sweethearts
1. Are your parents married? yes, but not to each other. They've been divorced since I was 5.
2. Where are they both from? My Mom is from Ohio (been here since she was 10) My Dad is from Florida. My Step dad is from KY and my Step mom is from FL (i think)
Where do they currently live now? My Mom/step Dad live in Clermont, FL -- My Dad lives in an apt in my garage, and my step mom lives in Tampa
3. What do they do for a living? My mom works for a contractor in Clermont, my Step Dad works for Universal and has for like ever, My Dad is a general contractor, my Step mom is a RN @ TGH
4. How many children do they have? It's much easier if I just say I have 6 sisters..
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? I am close to both of them, but in different ways. My Mom is who I would go to w/ problems, but my dad spoils me rotten.
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share?
uh, my dad is SUPER high strung. He called me cussing this morning because he couldn't figure out how to use microsoft office, he said If I come home and his computer is in the front yard I'll know why. LOL.
My Mom is just amazing. She has put up with a lot from my sister & I.
My step dad is the most patient man in the world, how could he not be that many girls.
My dad spoils me rotten, and he is the reason I love fishing so much. He's been taking me fishing since I was "knee high to a grasshopper" lol.
1. Are your parents married? No, they got divorced 14 years ago, after 19 years of marriage. My mom is remarried.
2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now? They both grew up in Cleveland, OH (Parma Heights, to be more specific). My dad lives in St. Pete now and my mom lives in Weeki Wachee.
3. What do they do for a living? My dad is a retail manager. He currently works for Select Comfort and sells the most awesome beds ever. My mom has alternated back and forth between being a special education teacher and a Jazzercise instructor. She enjoyed teaching but is a Jazzercise instructor right now and REALLY loves it.
4. How many children do they have? Two, me and my younger sister
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? My mom
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? They were HS sweethearts (and were actually in the same kindergarten class), but that's not really so nice now that they're divorced.
My mom lives on property in Hernando County, in a house my stepdad built by hand by himself. They are just about completely self-sufficient and live off wind generators, solar panels, etc.
My dad is super into genealogy and has researched our family way, way back. He writes historical fiction novels for fun - his most recent one was about our ancestors coming to America from Ireland.

1. Are your parents married? Yes they are married since 1974.
2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now? They are both from central NJ. They went to school together since grammar school. They live not too far from me in Sarasota.
3. What do they do for a living? My mom is a nurse and my Dad works for the Army Corp of Engineers.
4. How many children do they have? Three. I have a younger brother and sister.
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? I would have to say I am probably equally close to both. We are a very close family and there isn't much I wouldn't share with both of my parents. I only can hope that I have the same relationship with my own children.
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? They started dating in the middle school grades and got married right out of HS and still are totally in love. It is cute, but still makes me gag at the same time.
This is going to sound depressing because my parents are a hot mess right now.
1. Are your parents married? Technically yes and living together but my mom basically has stopped speaking to my dad, won't hug him, and says she can't wait to move out.
2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now? My dad was born in VT and grew up in CT. My mom was born and raised in Miami.
3. What do they do for a living? My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last year. After her diagnosis she and my dad both stopped working. She is on disability and he gave up his job to follow her to the west coast for a clinical trial to care for her.
4. How many children do they have? Four. Me and my three older sisters.
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? That's really hard now. A couple of years ago I would say my mom without hesitation. We used to speak every day. My mom's personality has chnged a lot since her diagnosis though and she is just not the same person. I still love her dearly, but she has really alienated my dad and I find myself really worrying about him and calling him more than I ever did before.
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? That my parents are both flawed but amazing people. I am proud of my mom for having built such a successful career without even finishing college. It has hit her really hard to have to give up her career b/c it had become such a part of her identity. She can be such a charming and engaging woman though and I always looked up to her so much.
My dad is the most loyal, dependable, steadfast man in the world. He has pledged to standby my mom through all her meanness and the very toughest parts of her disease because his vows to her mean that much to him. I have so much love and respect for that man.
That's really beautiful and very admirable. Your dad sounds like a wonderful man.
I'm so sorry your parents are going through such hardships.

ditto this. I got a little teary reading about your Dad- esp the part about his vows.
It is so nice to read that.. I mean, it's not nice that they are going through that, but it's great that you Dad is sticking with his vows. I'm sure it would be much easier to just quit.
We have a pt in the hospital who is terminally ill, and her husband is fighting for her. It's really sweet, and it means a lot to me to see things like that. I'm surrounded by divorce, I'm sure many of us are, and to see people sticking it out through sickness and through health is important to me..
I agree, I just wish my mom was as into sticking it out. I want her to be happy too, but it's still hard to see. The fun part is that they are flying up together next Tuesday and staying with me for Christmas. Hopefully everyone will survive the holiday in one piece!
Good luck with the company Kendra! From time to time I wonder how your mom is doing. Hopefully both you mom and your dad can find a way to be happy.

Good luck with the company Kendra! From time to time I wonder how your mom is doing. Hopefully both you mom and your dad can find a way to be happy.
Even at an older age, it's difficult to deal with your parents having martial issues. About every other year or so my H's parents will separate. While my H usually claims he doesn't care and is over it, I know deep down it does bother him.

2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now? They are both from New Jersey, but they have been living in Texas for the past 30 years.
3. What do they do for a living? Mom is in sales; Dad is semi-retired.

5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? I talk to my mom almost daily, but my dad and I are more alike. We are equally close but in a different way.

Yes, they celebrated their 40th anniversary last Valentine's day.
2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now?
Both from the Philippines and they still live there.
3. What do they do for a living? They are both retired now. My dad used to be a manager for chemical sales at a pharmaceutical company and my mom was head of the finance department at a big university.
4. How many children do they have? 4 (actually, 5 but my older brother's twin died from complications during delivery)
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? Definitely my mom. My dad and I had a falling out a few years back but we've patched up since then.

6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? my mom was considered an expert on domestic violence and was always invited to talk at hospitals around the area as part of annual training for RN's.
1. Are your parents married? They divorced when I when I was 23. It really sucked because everyone viewed them as the happiest couple ever, they hit a rough spot and let others talk them into hastily divorcing. They spent the next few years trying to figure out how to get back together, but the damage was done. They were crazy about each other and so happy, I never expected it, so I guess if nothing else it taught me to never take my own marriage for granted and always work at it.
2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now? My mom is from Sarasota, my dad is from a dinky town in Indiana. My dad still lives in heres and my mom lives 45 minutes south.
3. What do they do for a living? My mom is kind of retired since selling her flower shop a while back. She helps out at a flower shop during their busy times and paints murals. My dad has been out of work since his company closed down and I think he's really bored.
4. How many children do they have? Two. I have a younger brother.
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? I talk to my mom just about every day and we are super close. She is my biggest sorce of inspiration, from cooking, decorating, parenting, creative projects, etc. I also worked with her for over 10 years, which I miss. I only talk to my dad about every week or two. He's cool, I just don't have as much in common with him.
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? Goodness, they are just really cool people. My mom is an amazing artist and my father was a musician for many years and they really encouraged creativity in my bother and me. I grew up in the most loving, fun home, and all my friends wanted to be at our house more than their own.

2. Where are they both from? Where do they currently live now? They are both from the town I grew up in. My mom lives in Spring Hill. My dad passed away in 2004.
3. What do they do for a living? My mom is a nurse. My dad was the Mgr of a grocery store
4. How many children do they have? They had 3, my older sister passed away when she was 4.5.
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? I was always a daddy's girl, but my mom and I are very close.
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? My mom had her own hair salon in our house growing up, so that was fun!

3. What do they do for a living? My dad sells flowers for a big company, my mom has MS and is disabled so she can't work FT. She is very involved in MS related programs.

6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? When they lived in CA they couldn't afford to buy a house out there so they rented. They moved 6 times in 13 years because the owners of the houses kept selling them.

My Mom is from RI, my Dad is from St. Pete.

4. How many children do they have? My mom and dad together have 2, me and my younger brother. My Dad has another 2 with my stepmom, so I have another brother and a sister.
5. Who are you closer to, your mom or your dad? I'm closer with my mom
6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? My dad is 52 years old and on July 24th he broke both legs on an ATV ride through the jungle in CR. 1 month later he was walking (with crutches) and 3 months later he walked a marathon on the beach in Costa Rica. Very proud of him!!

6. Any fun facts or anything interesting about them you would like to share? My dad is from seattle so of course he loves rock and blues music. He taught himself some different instruments. He would play the harmonica and write his own lyrics mostly just funny songs about our dog and us to entertain me and my sister. Oh ya and when he proposed to my mom he put a roach inside of a box for xmas to scare her. It's not romantic, but it's a funny story.
