Looking for a cake recipe using self rising flour
Tomorrow was my mothers birthday and every year I bake a cake to remember her birthday by.
I have a bunch of self rising flour thanks to an opps at the grocery store. I was wondering if any of you have a cake recipe that you've made or at least tried that using self rising flour? I prefer it not be chocolate but any other flavor is totally cool.

Re: Looking for a cake recipe using self rising flour
The magnolia vanilla cupcake recipe uses self rising flour. You could probably use that in the shape of a cake rather than cupcakes...

To use self-rising flour in place of all-purpose you would use the above conversion in reverse. If all you have is self-rising flour you begin by eliminating from the recipe any levening agent such as baking powder
