RI Nestie moms: poll about TTC

I'm going to keep this anonymous to respect others' privacy but I'm curious among you ladies who has dealt with fertility issues & who has not.  I've had a good many friends on FB in the past year "come out" as infertile to me who asked I keep it on the down low; I wonder how many others there may be out there.  I know many of you have more than 1 kid so let's keep this to your 1st born.  Thanks!  [Poll]

Re: RI Nestie moms: poll about TTC

  • There should be one for those who are still trying.
  • I replyed, but you might want to know that it was after a miscarriage.

  • I replied but, Matthew was an oops based on Weight regulation after losing a bunch of weight and PCOS.  Christopher was fertility and Jason was another pcos oops after I was told I would need fertility again if we wanted another.
  • There's no option for me

we tried for 3 years, 2 miscarriages with no explainations.  we couldn't afford iui/ivf nor did we want to go that route so we just kept trying.

  • Thanks so much ladies!  I know how lucky we are to have decent infertility coverage (80%) but even with that it's pricey.  I cannot imagine being out of pocket completely.  It seems we run the gammut here, from oops to trying for years, just like IRL; makes sense.

  • I didn't answer the poll.

J was a kinda trying/learning to chart baby - we'd planned on giving learning to chart 3 cycles and then seriously trying, I got pg on cycle 2 (I had/have irregular cycles)

N was clomid cycle 2 1/2 after being dx'd with unexplained 2if. I apparently stopped ovulating after I had J...well, except for that picture perfect 29 day cycle I had the first cycle with the RE.

I had 2 m/c (both opps, while I was on bc) before I met DH.

  • I voted too but had a mc(we got pg on our 2nd try) and then once we were cleared to start trying again we got pg again on our 2nd try and now we have allie!
  • I conceived ella after 3 IUI cycles.  My insurance paid 100% so that was definitely a help.

After that I got pregnant 2 more times. I wouldn't call them an oops because we weren't avoiding but we weren't trying either and both were very welcome. The did end in m/c though. One at almost 19 wks and the other at 12.

  • You know my deal.  I just wanted to wish you luck on the 30th at your consult!  I hope you like the new practice.
