Sharing is Caring...

And I know you hoe's love baked goods and booze.

So here is it... Black Russian Cake (I made it today for the first time in a while and decided it was an easy recipe to share... and I never seem to share recipes...)

Black Russian Cake -

1 box yellow butter recipe cake mix (I prefer Betty Crocker)

1 large box (5.9oz) instant chocolate pudding mix

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup vegetable oil

3/4 cup water

4 eggs

1/4 cup Kahlua

1/4 cup Vodka (I will often just do a 1/2 cup of Kahlua or you can sub water for the vodka)

Pre-heat oven to 350.

Generously spray a bundt pan or tube pan with Non-Stick Spray.

Throw all ingredients in a mixer and beat on med for about 4-5 minutes (until smooth and kinda fluffy).

Pour batter into pan and bake for approx 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

While cooling, make glaze.

GLAZE:

Kahlua

Powdered Sugar

Vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp

You can make the glaze as thick or as thin as you want.  The thinner it is, it will just soak into the cake. I like mine a little thicker so that when it dries, you have a thin layer of icing on the cake.  Whisk all ingredients together.

Remove cake from pan while still slightly warm.  Place cake on a plate or sheet of parchment/wax paper.  Drizzle glaze on top and allow to set.

ENJOY. Super yummy with your morning coffee and keeps well on the counter if stored in a well sealed container.  (About 5-7 days)
