I am so upset I could cry

SD's room has a bedspread that is an old Ralph Lauren bedspread of mine from when I was a single girl. I was SO PROUD to buy myself that bedspread and I LOVE it but let's face it - its not really a "little girl" bedspread.  I found a cute one on target.com - hello kitty - and ordered it.  It dawned on me today that it should have been delivered sometime last week (Monday to be exact).  Tracked the order and sure enough - it was delivered in Oklahoma City but for some reason denied and sent back to Target.  Huh?

When ordering, one has to give their daytime phone number. No one ever called to tell me there was a problem (and the shipping address, etc was correct - not sure why it wasn't shipped to me here at work).  AND - worse of all - my card has not been credited back - they still have my money.

We are doing xmas with SD on Sunday - Santa is going to visit her Saturday night so it was really important to me to have the bedspread.  I asked that they ship another and they said it wouldn't get here until after xmas. What?

I kindly informed them that um, no, they were going to reship it and have it here by Friday and they told me no way.

I would love to say I am never going to shop at Target again and on and on and on but...I am mostly just really sad.  SD's bday is in January and my friends are all giving her Hello Kitty stuff for her room and I am sure we will have a replacement bedspread but then but I really wanted Santa to give it to her. Sad

  • That's a sweet thing for you to do, I'm sad for you that it hasn't been delivered Sad. It's only Tuesday, maybe if you keep calling they'll get a move on things and have it here by Friday?
  • I would ask to speak to a supervisor and raise holy hell if I were you! That's not right at all.

  • Sorry that happened to you. I will never order from target because Ive had problems with them also. Have you looked on amazon they have free two day shipping I know that doesn't solve the problem of target not refunding your money but you may be able to find the same bedspread and have it by Sunday.

  • That would make me soooo mad. Oh my gosh. When did they say they can get it here by? Is there an option to refund your money?

    I agree with looking on Amazon to see if you can find something - they have lots of options when you search for Hello Kitty bedding, and most of them fall under the Amazon Prime umbrella [free two day ship or $3.99/item overnight]. I hope you find something!

  • That sucks!! You should keep calling and complaining! We had an issue with target a few months ago. They charged us twice for a $180 purchase. They ended up refunding both charges and we basically got a free $180 purchase! When you called them, did they tell you what the problem was? Do they have any in any of the Target stores around the metro?

  • When I looked on amazon yesterday the full comforters weren't on a special shipping deal..... 

    We went to Target last night and I ended up finding a pretty cute bedspread for $18. My friends got SD "room stuff" for her birthday - hello kitty wall appliques and such - so I think having a non Hello Kitty bedspread is going to be a good thing.  Further, she has a pink canopy net thing as well and I think overall, the HK bedspread may have been too much.  Also, apparently DH did not like the HK bedspread but didn't want to tell me. Good Lord.

  • I would have ripped the person on the other end of the line a new one when I found out the proper steps were not followed and they couldn't get me another one by the weekend.

    Anyways, I am glad you found another bedspread your liked and I am sure your SD will love it.

  • I did go off on the poor target person.  I don't understand why the package WAS NOT delivered, I don't understand why I wasn't notified of the issue, and I certainly don't understand why the package was returned to them, yet they still have my money.  And this is the kicker - it will take 10 business days for them to refund my money. So..what if I would have completely forgotten about the package - they never would have refunded it?

    The best part was how the person on the phone "walked me through" the delivery process - okay, I can see that online, its called the internet, and I don't need her to tell me where the package went, who farted next to it and that it was returned, all I want to know is WHY was it returned, why didn't anyone call me and WHY DO THEY STILL HAVE MY DAMN MONEY?

    Anyway, I will never order from target.com again.

  • That was similar to my experience with FedEx over the past two weeks - it was a pain dealing with them.

    I'm glad you found something else, but that sucks about dealing with them. I hope it's resolved soon. Ugh.
