WTF are they doing over there on Glendale behind Glendale Flower Shop?

It has been driving me crazy for months now.

    It's a Water Dept. project - something to do with the Sanitary Sewer system.  They're building a reserve or storage or plant or some crap back there.   It's part of a big 6-year project...   remember when S. Detroit was all torn up down closer to Copeland?   That's part of the piping, and it will come from there, down to that thing they're building eventually.   Unfortunately that will include going right through my neighborhood.  :(

    Ok, it's an 8 million gallon buried storage basin.

    I figured it was something water/sewer related. And the 8 million gallon basin would explain the need for 7 cranes to be back there.

    And YES! Closing the road every weekend in a PITA. I have to go out of my way to get to Star Diner. LOL.

    The freakin' loud-ass clang is driving us nuts!!!  Every damn day...  I saw that hole behind Kroger and it's bigger than our house - it'd better be eight million gallons!  lol  It is super annoying, though.

    We tried to go to Star Diner a couple weekends ago but when we turned the corner and saw that Glendale was totally closed, we said eff it and went to Glendale Garden instead.  I was SO bummed.

    Nope, it's close to the other (er, 3rd) Kroger on Glendale.  The one at Glendale & S. Detroit.
