I need some boots

I can't believe I don't have winter boots.

I about damn killed B2 and I this morning when I slipped on ice.

Not to mention that I have to treck thru a parking lot to get into work.

Maybe I should get some Napoleon Dynomite boots. LOL.

sidebar: dumbest movie ever.

    REALLY!?

I found it to be slow and kinda stupid.

  • I finally bought my first pair of winter snow boots this winter and am so glad I did.  Although I still about broke my neck yesterday on the ice, but at least my toes were warm.

Napoleon Dynamite was slow and stupid, but that is what appealed to me I think, just the slow witty delivery.  Hmm, now I'm thinking about it, what does that say about me that I liked it??

Oh, it's insanely stupid, but I really love stupid movies. :)

  • I think you need some chapstick too.

I also love Napolean Dynamite, ROFL.

Angi - I have these boots, they are worth every single penny.  I have had them for about 5 years, they seriously keep your feet super warm and have special bottoms so you don't slip.  I wear them all the time in the winter.

I did buy mine from Victorias Secret.com though, they had been on sale one winter.  So look other places first if you did end up wanting them.

My mom and sister swear by these, a little cheaper, but they love them too.

    I think Sears sells them.

  • Napoleon Dynamite is awesome! I haven't watched that in forever!

I don't own winter boots either and need to get some, I ended up wearing hiking boots to work yesterday because I didn't want to walk through the snow in dress shoes.

  • Jill--I was *this* close to buying those boots, but I wanted some with furrrrrrr so I got a brand called Kumbo or something like that.

In related news, I finally purchased last week boots that go up to my knees that also fit my wide arse calves.  I can't believe how hard they were to find (at least without spending $200).  Target was the magic store that came through :)  Now to find brown ones...

  • If you don't want to spend money on good boots, then you could get these YakTrax cleats. They fit over your shoes and they're inexpensive. I asked for a pair for Christmas. [crosses fingers]

My mom has some of those and wears them all the time in the winter. She has to be super careful on the ice because of her dropfoot and she has never fallen with those on.

  • I haven't owned boots since I was a kid. Last year I shoveled in my Disney Crocs. Ha!

When we were BTS shopping in August I found a brand new pair of purple moon boots!!! My dd was so embarrassed but I bought them for $9 at Plato's Closet!! Put them on today to get the mail. They are so warm!  So glad I bought them!  (I'm sure they aren't really moon boots, but that is what I like to call them) Many of the stores are out of stock and very picked over. I went to 3 stores and couldn't find any for Jacob on Sunday. I came home and tried every single store online I could think of and all out of stock too. Grrrr .... I always wait to long. Luckily the girls I found in great condition at a garage sale this summer.

  • I was thinking that same thing this morning while I scraped off my car wearing DH's slippers and my giant pink robe (over my clothes).

I probably looked like a total goof, thankfully it was still dark!

  • Living here, I have several pairs of boots.  We can get 21" at the drop of a dime and then downtown Clev takes days to shovel the sidewalks.  Mine are all really tight though since my foot grew .5" after having A.

I'm with you on the movie.  I lasted maybe 15 - 20 mins and turned it off!
