my life is too good to be true

What are the moments when you think...my life is too good to be true?

Mine is when Adrian is in in the Ergo, ring sling, being rocked or when he just wakes up from a nap and snuggles his little head against against my heart and sighs a big sigh.  This is when I think that life doesn't get any better than this.

When do you think life is too good to be true?

(doesn't have to be kid related, even though mine is)

Re: my life is too good to be true

  • Mine is a recent kid related moment.  A week or so ago, Ben was leaving to go somewhere with DH.  He had come over to say bye and given me a kiss.  He was heading down the stairs when he stopped and said "I need a hug" and he came running back up to give me and hug and another kiss.  I love moments when he is sweet and cuddly without being asked to be :)
  • 1. MH sometimes gives me this super happy, content and gooey smile.  Considering how much anxiety he carries around, seeing him that relaxed always makes me melt and feel that we have it all and are perfect for each other.

    2. When I've had a fun and challenging day at work and am on my way home to make dinner and hang out with MH, sometimes I'll think to myself "I really have it good.  I love being at work and I love being at home." :-)

  • I have those moments usually after we have just had a serious heart to heart about something and are on the same page afterwards.  And it happens too at night, after I've given T a bath, changed and fed her and she is falling asleep as we rock.  I know those times are going to be few and far between soon and I'm trying to do as much of her routine as I can since I'm missing out on her am routine lately.

  • When I look at DH playing and interacting with Evelyn. Also when I go into the crib and she looks up and smiles!

  • I totally know what you mean. Those moments usually happen for me when DH, Eli and Manny are all cuddling in bed in the morning or on the couch. Eli is too busy to cuddle most of time, so those moments are pretty precious now. Also, of course when Eli says love you, gives random hugs/kisses, or is just so happy with something we are doing I feel so overwhelmingly happy and amazed at my life.

  • I read this late last night and had a hard time coming up with a moment.  Of course, I try and stop and "smell the roses", but it has just been so busy. I do make a point to stop and give Tim a big hug and say, "thanks for being such a great Dad and husband".  However, this moment, I was taking magic eraser to a pencil mark I believe was made by a one year old who shall remain nameless :-).  She came up to me and sat in my lap and gave me a hug.  She leaned over and gave me a goofy smile and I literally just melted and got a little teary-eyed.  We certainly are a lucky bunch.

  • There isn't any specific time that I think this.  It just happens randomly!

  • Pretty much any weekend morning I get to spend just relaxing and hanging out with DH. There have been so few in the past couple of months with all of his sea tours. There is nothing I love more than waking up and curling in next to him for a while, getting up & walking down to our favorite coffee shop and just spending the day tooling around together. Looking forward to him stepping off the plane next Tuesday so I can have him home for the holidays, even if it's only a week! <3

  • I feel this way every day.  I am the most spoiled pregnant woman on the planet!  Every night my husband makes us dinner (unless I specifically ask  to cook) and rinses the dishes while I put them in the dishwasher.  This morning he took my piles of recycling out in the 15 degree weather wearing his robe and flip flops so I didn't have to.  He drives me to every single OB appointment. Last week when we got sent for a non-stress test for my slightly high blood pressure he was the epitome of "non-stress" and so was I. After we got home he set up the crib and packed his hospital bag. I am so lucky. He's an amazing husband and I'm going to be all melty when I see him being a dad.

  • Every day.  Not every moment, but every day I feel like ... wow.  My life kinda rocks!  And this is a totally new outlook as of this year.  I've always been such a pessimist and worrier and now, my circumstances really aren't different but my attitude is.  I'm just really happy.  Lord that sounds soooo corny.  LOL.
  • Love this post! I feel blessed so often in my life!

Last night watching DH play with DS, at one point I looked up and they were both laughing and they both looked so happy in life... it made me feel very lucky to have them both Smile

  • It happens a lot; I am very very blessed. :)  I remember specifically one moment a couple of years ago -- we were camping and I was up earlier than everyone else.  I was drinking a cup of Green Mtn pumpkin spice coffee and writing in my journal.  We'd been married about 4 months and I was still in the first tri of my pregnancy, and I just remember suddenly realizing "I have everything I've ever wanted."  It was quite an amazing feeling.
