Hello lovelies! I just signed on TN for the first time since arriving in Phnom Penh last week and saw the post below asking if I had gotten here. We're here and all is well, we have limited internet access as we're staying with a friend who doesn't have it set up in his apartment, so the occasional visit to the coffee shop and free wifi is all I've had. I just got my iPhone set up with internet today so that should help, and we'll have it in our apartment when we move in.
Phnom Penh is an amazing city, it's so hectic and crazy but really beautiful and the weather has been amazing - in the 80s and sunny every day. We went to the beach/jungle last weekend which was fantastic, and we've met a lot of great people. The expats here are all so similar to us which is great, and Cambodian people are so incredibly nice. Now we're just working on learning Khmer so we can communicate more effectively!
I'm looking for a job now, I have a few interviews but if nothing comes through in marketing I've met some other expats who teach English at local schools and they're always looking, so I may end up doing that - which, to be honest, I would probably love. OH, and I joined a band. On, like, my 2nd day here.
Anyways life is good and I probably won't be around much until after Christmas - we're heading to Angkor Wat this weekend and moving into our apartment on Christmas Eve, so things should calm down after that. In the meantime I've put photos on facebook and updated our blog if you want to read abut our adventures! Hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far!
