So, I was pushed into giving the holiday party that I posted about a couple of weeks ago. I'm keeping it simple though and J has taken over a lot.
We're doing dinner in the crock pot with some kind of roll/biscuits, a veggie tray, a pop-in-the-oven appetizer, and cake for dessert. The cake is just from the box, and I would like to put it in a bundt pan, but I'm wondering how long it'll take to cook? I'm doing a chocolate cake (probably Devil's Food or something like that). Does anyone know how long or much longer it would take to bake cake mix in a bundt pan? TIA!
Re: Cake mix in a bundt pan?
I have one for a White Russian Cake recipe and it does take a while (about 50 mins).
If you want the recipe, let me know.
I think, I am not positive, but some cake mixes do have the degree and length of bake time on the back of the box.
Yep it takes 45-55 minutes. I make them all the time.
Ditto Topanga (nice to see you Topanga!). Most cake mixes have the instructions on the box too
For the frosting, I take the pre-made stuff and microwave it for a while in short increments until it is a nice consistancy. Then I pour it over the bundt. Works great.
Enjoy!
