Anyone upgrade to Pandora One?

I use Pandora enough I'm tempted to upgrade.  I love Pandora and my different stations. It's $36/year which = $3 a month.  Not too bad.  I'd love to cut out all the ads and have improved sound quality.  Maybe I'll wait and do it when I get a smart phone (who knows when that will be though.  I'm gimping along just fine with my dumb phone.)  :-)

Hmmmmmmmmmmm......

Re: Anyone upgrade to Pandora One?

  • We pay 3 bucks a month for Rhapsody, and we get to pick the specific songs we play. That's a deal left over from when DH was in law school though, i think it's more now.

If we didn't have that, i'd think about it.

I finally sucked it up and paid... mainly because I got sick of digging out my CC each month. I typically went through the 40 free hours in about half a week between work and home.  I love not having the ads, and less frequent time-outs.

I'm a pretty big fan of the desktop client too :)

  • Thanks for asking this question! I usually switch between Pandora and Grooveshark. Then when my free 40 hours at Pandora runs out I listen to Grooveshark or local radio stations. I like Pandora because of the random playlists, but I like Grooveshark when I want to listen to a specific artist or song.

$3 a month is a pretty good deal for no commercials and a great variety.

  • I love Pandora, but hate that it runs out after the 40 hours. I would probably listen to it more if that didn't happen. I definitely think it is worth the $3 a month, just have never taken that plunge. We can even listen to it on our Blue ray player.

It has taken me a long time to get my playlist where I want it. If you are at that point, it seems like it would be even more worth it.
  • I am goingto cancel my XM radio and upgrade Pandora. I got a plug/cord that I can plug myphone into my car radio and use it that way. I love Pandora, thanks for postingthis.
