Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Carpet powders and Dyson?
Is it okay to use those powders for deodorizing carpets with a dyson? I thought I remember reading that I shouldn't use them, but wasn't sure. My carpets could use some freshening up...

Don't take my word on this, but I *think* I've read on here that if you use those powders, your warranty w/ Dyson would be void, maybe because they recommend against..?
Not sure....but I've used the powders a few times over the past 5 years of having my dyson and it's been fine. The scent stayed in the vacuum for a long long time (like a year!) but it didn't cause any problems.
