Can you tell me a little bit about the Shakeology stuff? I think I might be interested in a little for me and a lot for Drew.

Re: Lindsay
Basically, I'm obsessed with it. LOL.
It's a shake that you can mix with, well, anything; water, milk, etc, but my favorite to mix with it right now is almond milk. Thomas drinks his with just water.
It's full of nutrients... tons of vitamins & minerals. I actually didn't try it when it first came out because Thomas and I eat a mostly very low processed diet. I've never liked shakes or anything like that because I'd just rather eat real food. Finally, I ended up going to a training for Shakeology that Beachbody hosted and was blown away by the research and development that went in to this. I came home with tons of info on it and ended up making my Dad my ginuea pig because I wanted to experiment on my own. Dad (who has a lot of health issues) has blood work done every three months. About a week after he had his blood drawn, I brought him a few boxes and had him to drink a shake every day. When he went back his triglycerides, cholesterol & uric acid levels had all dramatically improved. I kid you not that the only thing he changed was drinking Shakeology daily. Similar trials have been done in a clinical setting and the results were impressive enough, but seeing it actually change someone in my own life was when I REALLY jumped on the shakeology bandwagon.
Over the summer, Thomas and I did the 3 day cleanse that I have on my blog. Again, it was one of those things that I really wouldn't have believed without seeing it (I think I'm a skeptic, lol). But, I dropped 5lbs of junk & Thomas lost 6.2lbs in the three days. Now, we cleanse 4 times of a year to jump start things and get the gunk out.
There's only two flavors right now; Chocolate & Greenberry. They haven't been able to develop a Vanilla yet because all the formulas for it compromise the nutritional quality of the shake (I was mad until I learned this at training a couple of months ago) but now they're working on some other flavors, too.
I make a lot of recipes with both flavors. Right now, my favorite is just adding coconut to the Chocolate shakeology & almond milk, then blending it with ice until it's like a frozen drink. Yum!
Let me know if you have any specific questions.

It sounds like something that I'd be very interested in trying. And Drew seems to like the idea too. It would be really good for him before he goes to work. He never eats anything because he doesn't leave himself enough time and always ends up just hitting a drive thru, which is really starting to bug me. He needs to be healthier because he's not getting any younger!
I'm a little concerned about the whole "cleanse" thing. Am I going to be in the bathroom for three days during this thing? I've done a cleanse, if you will, before, and, let me tell you, it was not fun! The website says that it helps regulate you. It's just my personal preference, but I'd rather eat some more fresh fruits and veggies than have diarrhea for days, ya know?!?!!
What does this program cost?

That's exactly why Thomas started drinking it - he just doesnt get up in time to eat. We even bought a nice mixer cup from GNC that has this aluminum ball mixer thingy inside it - he just pours in the shake and the water, shakes it up and leaves. He drinks it on the way to work.
As far as the cleanse, no. It's totally not one of those type. You won't be in the bathroom all of the time and you won't feel like you have to rush there or anything. I've had tons of people to ask me about that and no one has experienced anything like that. Also, it's a nutrient dense cleanse - you'll still consume around 800-1200 calories per day and you're also allowed a piece of fruit in the morning and a huge salad with either some grilled chicken or white fish each night for dinner. The outline for the cleanse is here:

Oh, and the shakeology pack comes with
1 box or bag of Shakeology
2 workout DVD's
1 Shake to-go cup (but I like the GNC one better!)
And it's around $119 - it works out to being $4 per serving.
