God love them. But they don't want a stranger watching B2.
I was like I don't expect you to watch him 5 days a week. Plus, my MIL works a few days a week and they like to go away and take off on Friday and head to the casinos.
I said it was in the best interest of everyone if I had a babysitter.
Then MIL says, "well, Ok. I will watch him on my days off"
I said that wasnt going to work b/c she always has a different schedule and I don't want to have a different schedule every week for the sitter.
**sigh** So Maybe I will get an inhome sitter for Fridays and then when B is potty trained and old enough I will take him to a "school/daycare" 3 days a week.
Re: my ILs and babysitting
My MIL still has all sorts of horror stories for me about babysitters...I"ve learned to just let them go in one ear and out the other. If she lived in town, I would not let her watch R on a regular (daily) basis - she's getting too old and can't move around as quickly to keep up with a little 2 year old.
When B is old enough, keep in mind that it's difficult to find a place that will allow for a rotating schedule - my neighbors just went through this for their 3 year old. Dad's schedule is 2-on; 2-off and every other Friday - so one week was 2 days the next was 3 and the days weren't the same week to week. Plus, Daycare is really expensive, even part time. (this is all my opinion...take it if you'd like).
I'll send you a FB message with an email or a phone number for my co-workers niece, like you had asked today. I know a few girls that went to highschool with her as well.
Good luck in your quest!
I looked at Toledo Day Nursery b/c I have a friend who works there and it would cost $127/week for PT.
I finally just told every one that I am going to send B2 to a sitter 2 days a week. And it will be the same two days every week.
They will just have to deal with it.
I have 4 numbers from girls on the nest or who used to be on the nest, so hopefully one of them has an opening.
