It's a boy. Brock is going to have a little brother and I'm going to have to handsome little boys. I guess I was meant to be the queen of the house. Hopefully someday my boys will marry wonderful women who will take me as a second Mom.

Re: It's a....
Congrats, Blair.
My MIL has two boys. You know what, they, to this day, married and all, still call her almost every day, still worry about her like crazy, and she still means the world to them.
My sister also has two little boys...they're her handsome lil guys.
Just think...you may not have to deal w/ a teenager like me. I was AWFUL to my mother...whereas my husband was GREAT to his mom as a teen, and his brother also (now to their dad, that's a different story...
) )
I am going to tell you about DH's best friend's mother, who is amazing.
She has four boys and would not have it any other way. They have all grown into wonderful, handsome men who love each other and their mom SO much. They all live in MO (KC and Maryville, where Northwest State is) and come up to visit all the time.
When my SIL had her second boy and was slightly disappointed, Cyn happily said, "Oh, maybe you'll be lucky and get all boys!!!!" and completely meant it.
This summer she had a stroke that ended up being a brain tumor. Her treatment isn't going well but all the boys have been exhausting their vacation and coming up nearly every weekend to spend time with their mom. She had a seizure a couple of weeks ago and was in the ICU for 6 days- the boys all came up and lived in the family waiting room at the hospital until she was moved to a regular room. She's home now, and it is so wonderful to be in their house with all of them and see how much her boys love her.
She is a very loving mother-in-law to the boys' wives and she is really like a mother-in-law to me. I have no doubt in my mind that you will be exactly like her to your sons and they will be big mama's boys at heart, no matter how rough and tumbly they are on the outside.
And now I'm crying, but seriously, congratulations! There is something special about a mother to all boys.

This is exactly what my MIL has said to me over the course of our pregnancy. She had two boys herself.
Just think of the fun they'll have together, especially being close in age! Congrats!
Thanks girls. I feel terrible because I should be happy. But I'm so sad. The baby is healthy and that's supposed to be all that matters. If this baby is anywhere near as awesome as Brock is I will be the luckiest woman alive. I know they will be great friends and I already know that we make pretty cute boys, I guess I just need time to wrap my head around the fact that I'm not going to have a little girl. It's just hard to accept when you want something so desperately but have no control over the outcome. This is the reason I could never wait to delivery day to find out. I have 5 months to get over the disappointment and get excited about our newest little man.
Awe Blair....I'm sorry you had your heart set on a little girl.
Is this definitely the last child you're going to have? Maybe in a few years you guys can give it another shot.
Aww, don't be too disappointed. Your little boys will be the best of friends, little comrades of trouble-making. I think it will be pretty awesome.
In my family, two boys always come first then finally a girl. So maybe you'll just have to have a third!
