F/U to DH back surgery
Everything went well, but the doctor said almost the entire disc was herniated and the nerve was practically pinched off. Luckily it wasn't but was so compressed, he doesn't know if DH will make a full recovery or not.
DH is sleeping now and wasnt in too much pain, but his spirits are a little low. I think he is afraid he will never get to actually become a police officer now. But his health is the most important thing right now so I'm trying to keep those thoughts off his mind.

Glad to hear he made it through surgery without any major complications. I know the news from the dr was not what he wanted to hear, but everything happens for a reason. Hope his recovery passes without any hiccups.
