Anyone get the morning (or day) off because of the ice/snow? I'm home--on maternity leave, and just got the call that C's preschool is closed for the day.

No baby yet. I can't decide if I'm ready for her to come or not....each day I change my mind I can't wait to meet her, but she is SO much easier to care for in my belly.

Hahha the second have made me LOL.

I didn't get the morning off, but did get a two hour delay. Meaning. . my 8am final is now at 10am. I SHOULD be using this time to study a little more. . but once again Im at the 'F' it stage.

We did get some snow and now it's freezing. When my professor found out that I live in Fuquay, she told me she did too (apparently right down the road or something?) so even if school doesnt cancel (which they wont) I'm curious to see if she does. We're all country roads out here.

I'm off today. On snowdays we are suppose to go or take leave. However we were told yesterday that if it was icy the school probably won't be open. I'm going to use comp time for the day from all the afterschool crap I do. I know my friend in wake county said they'll have to make it up on Saturday.

They didn't even call a delay for us. So I'm sitting at work.. took me about 1hr 15 mins to get here, which is usually a 55 min drive. I slipped around the roads getting to the highway, and I'm not really thrilled with that, if it's not much better tomorrow, I'm not forcing myself to come in and I'll just take a personal day. I don't care. Work is not worth risking my life over.

Good Morning!

I'm going in about an hour late... I just don't want to drive in this crap. I took my dog out this morning and almost fell down the steps... plus, I'm not a good driver in even the most normal weather, so I'd hate to see me on the ice.

It's funny what you said about the baby... I'm the same way (though I have much more time to go than you lol). Some days I'm already super uncomfortable and I just want to get the little dude out of me and some days I think I'd be happy pregnant forever. Either way, enjoy your maternity leave and soak up the last few days of pampering and alone time!

Good morning! My office has a delayed opening, but my boss told all of us to work from home today so at least I won't have to venture out today!

Good morning! I hadn't been planning to go in today (I'm in grad school, and now that it's the end of the semester I don't have to go in every day), so I'm hanging out at home.
