Help me pick a picture!

Seeing as we just spent all of our money on hardwood floors, we've decided to go the cheap newly wed route and give our parents and grandparents a wedding picture and baked goods for Christmas (and maybe a little something small too).

But I'm having a terribly hard time picking which picture to use, since we really didn't end up with any great shots of just Derek and I.  Stupid photog.

Here are the few I've narrowed it down to, which one do you all think I should use?  The picture will still need to be colour corrected and cropped and stuff.

Re: Help me pick a picture!

  • I like 7. It show's both of your faces and if you crop it to be a closer picture of you I think it would frame nicely.

  • That's what I was thinking too eeeeeeeeeva.  I played around with that the other night and if we're centred in the frame for a 5x7 is looks pretty nice.  I just suck at editing!

  • I was going to say 3.  I'm a sucker for those mushy-type poses.

However, I agree that 7 would look great.  And then they could see your faces vs. 3.

  • I agree, I like 7 as well.  I think it is important for them to be able to see your faces.

  • Raynes have you ever used Picnik. Its a free online photo editing software. I think you could get a lot of corrections done on that photo with that and it's pretty easy.

  • I like 3 and 5. 3 is a great picture but I feel like folks in our parents' generation love the traditional poses like in 5.

  • I'll check that out Eva.  I've got a copy of Lightroom at home, but maybe that's too advanced!

  • ringy, you raise a good point.

What about doing a traditional one for the older folks and a different one for the parents?  So many options....

  • Ooo Lightroom is fantastic! You can easily auto correct your picture there.

  • I love number 3, but agree that number 7 is nice because you can see your faces. Like you said, the best thing may be to get two different sets of pictures.

  • I have a huge vote for #3. I really think it's a gorgeous pictures. I'm not a fan of the more traditional stuff, either, so that might be why.

  • My first thought was for 7 as well.  I love 3, but I wouldn't do that for the older generation (as per ringy's point).
