Working Moms ....

I'm on my second week back to work and am struggling to stay focused!

How long until your head was back at work?  Any other advice?

Re: Working Moms ....

  • omg she is beautiful! she looks like a sleeping angel in your siggy btw. I just want to squeeze her and get my fill of the new baby smell. Gianna doesn't have that smell anymore :-(

Well all I can say is that it gets better with time. That's it. It's really hard with number 1 and b y the second baby I was eager to drop off! Hang in there it does get better. It took me a while b/c with Christian I was working a lot....like 10-12 hour days. But luckily I had the summer off with him.

  • It's definitely rough at first - it'll take a month or so to really settle back into a new routine, etc. It does get easier, and once you get more sleep you'll notice a big difference too!

  • Well for me, I had to jump right back in both times because I was on some important big projects that needed to get done by a deadline.  But, cut yourself some slack, and just ease back in... it'll  probably take a little while but you'll get there.  I'm sure with the holidays so close too, that isn't helping with the focus level!
  • I understand what your feeling. I've been back 6 weeks and it was really hard at first, but it does get easier.  I can't remember exactly when it did probably around a month.
    Hang in there!

  • I totally feel you too....I just went back on the 1st. While the routine is getting easier, I feel like my brain has not caught up....I'm sidetracked, I've lost my vocabulary and my ability to think on my feet is totally gone. I just always feel like I am a step behind. I am hoping that this gets better!! Good luck!
