Got the phone call that every teacher dreams of - school closed today! So excited. This teacher's going back to bed!

Whimps.
We got over two feet of snow and everyone still dug out their cars and went to work. Sadly, my parking lot wasn't plowed until 3 days later though, so that was fun.
How much snow are you supposed to get??

I grew up in Jersey. I still have my snow tires in the garage. Believe me, I scoff at it, but I enjoy the heck outta the day off!
We got a dusting. The problem is in the south the dusting is usually followed by freezing rain which promptly freezes to the roads and causes ice everywhere. And we just aren't equiped to handle it since it only happens a couple times a year, if that. It took H an hour to get to work 25 minutes away. He said the roads were a sheet of ice. Even though they salted last and again this morning. The news just said there were 40 wrecks in the last 90 minutes on the interstate nearby. *sigh*

Big, big like the moon...
We had a 2nd snow day today too! DH and I spent the day at the local ski resort hitting the slopes.
Steph -- we got a total of 3-4 inches. Today's school was canceled at 6pm last night. It doesn't take much for area schools to close because we honestly don't have the road maintenance in place to get everything clear in a timely manner.
