Now, I know for some of you this is no big deal, but we eat out A LOT! On a usual week, we eat out 4-5 nights a week at least. So, we are making a conscious decision to eat in more in order to save money. We are limiting ourselves to weekends only or special occassions.
I wasn't home Monday night, but I have now cooked 3 days in a row. This is a BIG deal for us. And now that I am on winter break, the challenge is going to keep on going.
Anyone else like us and eat out all the time?

my bio - updated with pics!!
We used to eat out more. About twice a week. Now we live in a pretty rural are and there are only a hand full of places we like (at least within a 30 min. drive) So now we go out just a couple times a month.
I plan out all my meals and cook about 6 days a week. I also LOVE my crock pot for days that I work
It helps that I enjoy cooking and am getting pretty good
Americas test kitchen is a great basic cookbook. My mom bought it for me when I first moved out and it has so many everyday meals in it!
I have this cookbook too and would recommend it. I also have 3 cookbooks that are 4 ingredients or less. However, since I got them last year I really haven't used them. I think it is time to dust them off.
