Bet you all thought I was going to be saying I needed gift ideas in this post.
Nope...Ed and I just got a wedding gift last weekend (I forgot to post about it). I laughed when I opened it because I thought it was a Christmas card...but it wasn't--it was a wedding gift card from one of our groomsman, with a note, "Better late than never"...and here I thought I was done with thank you cards.
Re: Wedding gift...
And I thought it was pretty late when we got a gift over the summer! I wonder what prompted him to send something now.
I'd say a combined thank you / Christmas card for him would work, but I'm lazy like that.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
I don't think any of our groomsmen were sober at the ceremony...Though none of them were ridiculously drunk until after the ceremony

Lol. I actually got one too fairly recently. B and I went to this event at Swarovski recently because our friend is the manager. At the end of the night, our friend brought us over our wedding gift. It was from the store. She had obviously decided to give it to us upon learning that we would be coming to her event.
I know the ladies at P & E would flame me for the following, but ... anyway, just take away the fact that your groomsman doesn't have the best social graces. This doesn't make him a bad friend, or less caring, or anything like that, just that he didn't learn this lesson. I'm not saying someone who comes to a wedding has to give a gift, but I was raised that you gift a gift to ppl on special occaisions (assuming you can afford it), and I would never be caught dead giving some a gift a year and a half after they got married.
