I think we talked about this last year but what are your thoughts on gifts for co-workers? I made pumpkin butter for everyone two years and baked something last year (I forgot what! How sad is that!?). This year we're totally food-ed out in this office (long story) so I really don't want to do food gifts. What do you do for office gifts? Any ideas for inexpensive gifts?
Re: Office Gifts
DH and I went to the Christkindlmarkt in downtown Chicago last week. Basically, it's an outdoor market in Daley Plaza that is a replica of a similar market in Germany (...I want to say Nuernberg.) There's booths set up with traditional german wares (beer steins, wood cuts, blown glass, ornaments, etc.) and lots of german food. I got each of my teammates a glass tea light holder.
For the rest of the department, I'm making a cheesecake, putting it in our kitchenette, and letting them graze on it.

We do a Secret Santa, so we just have to buy for one person (and it's totally optional if you want to participate, so there's no pressure). I got two wintery mugs from Kohls and a matching serving dish. I'm going to fill the mugs with hot chocolate stuff and then make some oatmeal cookie sandwiches that I found a recipe for and fill the dish up.
Then we have a pot luck lunch sometime during the week of Christmas, it's fun!

I work with too many people to think about getting them gifts... there's about 30 of us, so there's no way I could afford anything, even small gifts for everybody. I also don't bake, so I'm not doing anything for them!
As an office, we donate toys to needy kids, so I guess that's Christmas gifts to each other?
