The bottom looks a mess because DoggieCrushing is jealous of the tree. He gets upset every time I water it, and tried to steal the water. Ha ha ha.
Re: Tree PIP
it's beautiful!
I'm laughing at the thought of L getting jealous of you watering - that's too funny!
Sox gets mad that we have gifts under the tree because now he can't lay under it anymore. Sometimes he tries to find a present he can lay ON instead.
ha ha ha ha...that is so cute! You should PIP your tree! I love seeing all the trees!
we have a fake tree thanks to the cat. he doesn't try to climb it, but he likes to eat real ones but for some reason doesn't try to eat the fake ones, so fake it is.
Here are a few of our other decorations though:
Wreath that I revived this year with some new ornaments:
Dining room chandelier:
Current dining room centerpiece:
And fireplace mantel:
Bad cell picture but my menorah is tied to the top of the tree... and half the ornaments are not there anymore thanks to the cat. I'm actually going to remove the ornaments before the cat comes home from his $$$ stay at the vets.
here is our tree!
the tree skirt is only there for photograpic purposes... the cats play with it and we're afraid they're going to take the whole tree down. and we can't put gifts under the tree until the last minute because they sit on the boxes and eat the bows/ribbon.
It looks beautiful!
Thanks Rock. I love your mantel as well! It looks like you really did a lot this year. I didn't do anything to the exterior of our house. So sad...but now Christmas is already here practically so it doesn't seem worth it to do so now.
How is your poor cat doing?
He's great, thanks! He's home and raising hell... attacking the tree and dumping his water fountain over. Back to his normal self. I kind of wish they gave him some more drugs to knock him out some more. I think I am going to have to stay home with him tomorrow though!
Yeah, I tend to do a lot of decorating for Christmas! The stairwell, back porch, two bushes out front, and other miscellaneous areas of the house are also decorated
Oh, and here's a not so great pic of our tree:
everyone's trees look great!
mesa - I'm glad Dewey is doing better!
I was psyched to get to put lights outside this year - our first year in the house the bushes were blah and we didn't have an exterior outlet anyway. Last year we had ripped out all the landscaping when we redid the front walkway. This year we finally have bushes AND an exterior outlet! Of course everything is so puny, but I love it anyway
here's more of our decorations
Rock - I love the lighted garland on your mantle - I may steal that idea. I've been trying to figure out how to put some garland on the mantle but for some reason just laying it across it never occurred to me - I was trying to figure out how to hang it or something.
Haha, glad I could help! And your stairwell looks great.
