Every year one of our vendors that we work with here at CVS sends us each a smoked turkey. Its already cooked, just gotta throw it in the oven. We just got ours in today and I am going to cook my for Christmas Eve so it won't go to waste. Well I still have mine from last year in my freezer, you think its ok to donate to a food kitchen or do you think I just need to toss it. I completely forgot about it until I just got this new one in the mail today. I feel bad no donating it sooner but like I said, I forgot I had the thing. What do you think?
Re: Question (Food Related)
You could of course donate it. Turkeys keep indefinitely in the freezer. The only thing is, after about a year the taste quality goes down, so at the very least it may not be as juicy and flavorful as a fresher turkey, but it hasn't been quite a year yet so it's more than likely fine.
