Well girls, I didn't make it thru the first round of applications. I was devistated to say the least! I found out at my desk and work and when I told DH over GChat he immediately called me. When I got home I had a good cry about it.
But today is a new day and already things are looking up! I've decided I'm going to apply for Grad School for Fall 2011 @ Lesley University (In Cambridge, MA) and Wheelock College (Brookline, MA). Both have fantastic programs and I'm really excited to apply.
And, a new position just opened up at my job that I'm being seriously considered for. While the place I work at now is not where I want to end up, the position in question is a lot more challenging and interesting than my current job. I've already been asked by the supervisor that is hiring that position if I am going to apply and I told him I was! So I'll probably be interviewing with him next week. If that doesn't pan out the manager in my department says I'll have a good chance in getting into a new department they are going to create in the new year.
So, after a very disappointing night last night (which was solved by baking and consuming double chocolate chip peanut butter cookies) I've feeling a lot better about the future. Huzzah!
Re: ::Sigh:: Didn't Get in
Those people lost out big time. Oh well their fault!
Glad to hear that you bounced back! Good luck with applying for the other colleges! Keep us posted about the job promotion as well!
