Hope she doesn't mind me posting it. I like to read these so I'll start. What's on tap for the weekend.
Me=Not much. We went to a concert in Boston Wednesday night and had a little too much fun, so I am taking it easy this weekend.
Tonight - Jay is headed to NY today to go to a concert (same one we went to see in Boston, you think he's a fan??) I am going to go home after work and pick up the house, try to get it out of the way. I think I am going to see the late movie of The Fighter with one of my friends, pretty excited to see it.
Tomorrow - Nothing, sleep late in my King size bed by myself!! Maybe hit the a "Fat Blaster" class at the gym. Then just hanging at home, finish wrapping some gifts, maybe make a cheesecake for Christmas Eve. Once Jay gets home from NY, maybe dinner with him.
Sunday - Relaxing and laundry. No groceries, since I'll be doing a huge trip on Thursday for christmas eve, gonna try to eat what's in the house this week. At night one of our friends has an annual HUGE christmas party (He used to play for the NHL, so he is quite loaded), open bar with dinner. I'm not staying late since I gotsta work in the am.
Re: Where's Lesa with TGIF??
today/tonight: heading to the post office & then georgetown for lunch with my friend, cathy. maybe ordering in or grabbing a cheap dinner out with josh tonight.
tomorrow: no major plans - putting a few more presents in the mail, maybe going to see the national tree or zoo lights at the national zoo . . . i want to do something christmasy!
sunday: errands, laundry, and putting the finishing touches on josh's gifts while he's out. maybe figuring out where the hell to hang our stockings?
hope everyone has a great weekend!
Today: We're having more electrical work done on our house, so the kids and I will be here all day. Internet connectivity and unknown. Hopefully finishing up my Christmas cards today so the rest can be out by tomorrow's mail pick-up.
Tomorrow: I need to go get my vehicle inspected. A nice guy at CVS a couple nights ago was nice enough to point out that my sticker expired last month. D'oh! Fortunately I haven't had to go out since then. But, I need Brian to be home to watch the kids (or take my vehicle) because it is just too cold for me to be waiting with both of them in a cold autobody shop!
I'm also hoping that my godmother is having a good day tomorrow so that I can go and visit her. My mom has offered to watch my kids while I go. Maybe I'll get to gush over her new granddaughter with her. I don't want the visit to be a sad one. She's getting enough of that already.
Sunday: Church in the morning. Wrapping gifts. Hopefully all of them. Looking forward to the Pats game that night, with Five O'Clock Shadow (FOCS is a Boston acapella group) performing the national anthem! I hope they televise that part too. I've already set my TiVo to record the game, even though Brian probably would have done that too, so that we'd avoid a possible interruption!
Today: My last day in the office!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm here to tie up loose ends and meet with HR about my leave. I cannot WAIT to get out of here and set that out of office reply on my email for 3+ months!!! YAY YAY YAY!!! Once I leave, I'll probably head to Target to pick up a few things and then go home and relax. Or do laundry.
Tomorrow: Putting together the pack n play, swing, installing the car seat, organizing the last of the things in the nursery and cleaning the house. This is the last push for organization before baby comes! I told DH after tomorrow, I'm going to relax and bake and just wait for baby!
Sunday: Mass, grocery shopping and finishing our Christmas shopping. Thank god all we have left to get is gift certificates!!
Today: work, short run with DH in the evening so we can look at Christmas lights, then making ravioli or going to a new restaurant in the Hope Artiste Village (looks Portuguese/Cape Verdean)
Tomorrow: long run in the AM, then Christmas shopping, job applications, and church
Sunday: Christmas celebration w/ DH's family. I'm expecting drama.
Running on the Rhode
I hate you very much
tonight: making DS's bday cake & decorating it! if time, will do some cleaning / prep work for the party.
tomorrow: DS's bday party! yahoo!
sunday: church in the AM; then it's just me and the two little ones for the afternoon. DH is going to the celtics game with his dad & brother; DD has a confirmation retreat. i should probably do some wrapping while the little ones nap - fingers crossed for a good, long one so I can be productive!
Tonight: Finishing up some clippies for a Nestie order!
Tomorrow: Shopping, wrapping, more shopping. UGH!
Sunday: Did you guys not hear we're getting a pretty big snow storm? Perhaps it's not hitting RI. But, I think we're hunkering down for it, then watching the Pats game.
Oh I've heard. I'm just refusing to believe it because a) I've seen too many storms that were blown out of proportion turn to nothing and b) I've been praying for NO snow until the baby is born and refuse to accept that we could have a big storm that we may have to travel to a hospital in if he makes an early appearance!!
ugh. seriously? it figures. see my sunday plans - DH is going to a celtics game. This is exactly why I was not crazy about this date for the tix (MIL bought them). The ones I was looking at were in April, you know, when it's a lot less likely for a snowstorm?!? ARGH.
you better go get bread & milk NOW! HURRY! otherwise the the grocery store might run out and then what?
