I go accross the street for a supposed to be 5 minute trip to the library. Well, it takes like almost my whole lunch so my coworker asks me what I was doing. Too honest me says signing out a book on .... treatments and trying to find a recent book on adoption... Wanted to keep that from my new coworkers a little longer. ANYWAY....
The reason is because DH said I could and we are doing research on our options.

I agree with everyone else.
Bonnie, I think adoption is a beautiful, beautiful thing. You and YH will be wonderful parents one day.
My sisters MIL/FIL didn't think they could have children, so they adopted their first son. She ended up needing surgery, and literally 2-3 months after the surgery, she was pregnant with my sisters husband.
I forget what the surgery was (my girlfriend had the same type, I could ask her), but my sisters ILs have two wonderful men that they love the same.
Just thought I would share that with you.
I could see why you may want to keep this a private matter from now. I am very careful as to what I share with my coworkers. I like to share very little to keep the separation between personal and professional life. Plus 90% of my coworkers are pains in the butt.
Do what you think will be best for you. If talking about it makes it easier for you, then go for it. If you want to keep it to yourself and that works that's good too.
Like the pp's said-adoption is a very, very beautiful thing.
I don't think it's something that needs to be a secret, but if your coworkers are asking for updates all the time, it could be annoying. But people are like that about anything. I don't even want to see our friends right now because I'm tired of telling them that, no, actually, I still don't have a job. Anyway, I hope your coworkers don't get like that.
