We decided last week that since we're not having anyone over for any Christmas festivities this year, we are not decorating. We have a tree that I put lights on, and I put a wreath on the front door. That's it. We're not even putting ornaments on the tree.

I went to Love Street to see if I could find any last minute gifts but then decided to mosey on over to Heart and Sole where I found a thousand things that I love for myself. I had to leave the store because of that but not before putting myself on a waiting list for these cute knit headwrap/ear warmer things that come in multiple colors which I know I really have no use for but they are too cute. This is going to be like the time in college when I decided to buy myself a pink "winter hat" that never came out of my closet...

I'm relieved that a friend's child (the one I vented about before) won't be coming to our party. Now just the well-disciplined kids will be coming so I don't have to worry about putting the kitties away and dealing with all that. Phew!

Oh, and I hate DH's job but I can't complain to him about it because he hates it too, so I just have to sit back and be silent and supportive because me telling him I hate it isn't going to make him feel any better about it. He leaves the house at 7:30 every morning and doesn't come home til 9 and only makes comission so he technically makes less than minimum wage and I f*cking hate that I'm home alone all day and that he works so hard to support us. D*mn economy.

Even though Harlie has tons of clothing, almost all of it was given to us. I feel a little deprived that I have hardly gotten to pick out any of her clothes. My MIL wanted to buy her more and I told her not to, but then yesterday I bought her some clothes to be shipped to my office, which I'll just sneak into her closet. I couln't resist this sweater among other things.

that is really cute! i kind of can't wait until I have a baby because baby stuff is the cutest. however, i better have more money because I will go broke with all that I'd want to buy!

I kinda resent my SIL for not letting my brother come home for Christmas this year... they will be in town this weekend for a wedding, so we are having a family dinner tonight with them, but it won't be the same. While at a "women's store in the mall today, I had to fight the urge to grab all the skinny jeans and jeggings they had and go up to the manager and say in my bitchiest tone "W. T. F. are these things doing in this store?!"
