Weekend plans?
What's everyone up to?
Thursday night, we went to H's fraternity alumni holiday party (1st annual) and had a great time catching up with people I only see about once a year.
Last night we went to my faculty holiday/dirty santa party. H came home with Yellowtail riesling and I had martini glasses which were stolen and I ended up with a bag of cat toys. I was actually excited because I haven't put anything in the pet stockings yet. Yes, we have pet stockings. Then we went to some bar on Western to hang out with H's brother and we lost the garage door opener somewhere in H's car. Awesome night.
Today we are going to a small family get-together to open presents, eat mom's chicken and dumplings (hangover cure, perhaps?) and play Bingo and other games. I'm freaking excited. I'm about to make squash casserole for that. Yum.
Tonight and tomorrow...recovering and catching up on lost sleep. And groceries. I got way too excited when I saw the brussels sprouts stalks and Meyer lemons at Homeland this morning.

Finishing up Christmas shopping today (God willing), doing our Christmas cards, and that's about it on my must-do list.
Tomorrow I have no clue. I may attempt going out to the barn, depending on how my back is feeling.

Last night we had dinner and game night over at a friend's house. We brought caprese salad and a cheese plate with crackers. They made chili muffins (sounds weird but SO good) and chips and queso. Chased all that glorious cheese with some good wine... I felt like SUCH a lush! haha
Today I have been relaxing. Doing. Nothing. And it feels fabulous. DH is currently at the mall trying to buy my Christmas presents. Tonight we're doing dinner at Cafe 7 (YUM!) and going to see Tron in 3D.
Sunday we have church and football. I wish I could take all of next week off because I'm reeeeeally not looking forward to work on Monday. Thankfully I have something to look forward to on Tuesday night to tide me over 'til Christmas... My cousin's family is flying in from San Diego and I'm going to shoot some Christmas pictures for them in Norman and then we're going to dinner after. YAY!
Yesterday was work, a ceremony for our graduating seniors, then I drove to OKC to hang out. Watched basketball games at BDubbs and hung out at CityWalk. That was fun.
I spent most of the morning out and about in OKC and did some shopping. About to head to the AFB to put an XBox on layaway for H [his birthday/anniversary present] and go grocery shopping. I won tickets to a Barons game this past week, so my sister and I are going to that tonight and then to a party at Rok Bar [VIP baby!].
Tomorrow, I'm going to see Harry Potter [STILL have not seen it, bagh], and we have tickets to the Thunder game. Headed back to Stillwater afterward for four days of work. Blah. Hopefully, that means I get my car back [fully fixed this time, oi] and I can figure out why my dad's car shakes when I accelerate...praying it's not the tires...
Friday night we hung out at the house. Saturday was Christmas with H's mom and the family...which went really well.
Today H is working (blah) and I imagine we will probably go get him for lunch as a nice surprise away from his co-irkers. He's been in a mood ever since he was told he had to lay off one of the guys he works with. It's right before Christmas and he feels bad for the guy...unfortunately it's out of his control. Tonight I'd like to go look at Christmas lights, and I'm going to cook a big dinner of some sort.
Friday the kids and I went to the Barons game with my parents since H was still in California. He finally made it home late Friday night after 2 flight delays and thinking he was going to miss the last fight out of Phoenix!
Yesterday, we took the kids to run a few errands and then my parents watched them for a couple of hours while H and I went a finished their Christmas shopping. We stayed home and watched movies last night which was fabulous since he was gone all last week.
Today I spent the day baking cookies galore and H played outside with the kids. I also cleaned the house and H went to the Thunder game.
Weekend's over, but oh well! I'll still play!
Friday night: We went to DH's work Christmas party. It turned out a lot more fun then we expected. We pretty much watched people getting drunk over a 5 hour span, it was quite amusing. It was at a hotel and the company got everyone rooms, so we stayed the night.
Saturday: I finished up Christmas shopping, took a nap, and then we tried a new restaurant by our house. It's called Genghis Grill. It was delicious! It's mongolian stir fry. You go through a line and pick out your own meat, veggies, seasonings,rice/noodles, and sauces and put it in a bowl. Then they grill it all.
Sunday: DH had a couple papers to write for school so we stayed home from church. He worked on his papers while I cleaned a little and wrapped presents. Oh, and we ate Genghis Grill again for lunch haha. I'm telling you, it's delicious!

Friday- We went out to eat for dinner and then DH and I discovered Arrested Development on our Nexflix (we are so late in discovering this). So we spent most of our weekend watching that.
Saturday- I made about 2 1/2 dozen of sugar cookies. I tried to get M to help me but her canines are coming in so she wasn't really up to it. She took a long nap and woke up a happier girl.
Sunday- I wasn't feeling really good so we skipped out on church and did some family things. We went to Target before it got too hectic and ate some lunch at Panera. The rest of the day was cleaning and laundry. The inlaws made us some pancakes last night and they were so good.
