My husband changes his hair all the time. He grew it really long a couple of years ago, but now shaves it off all the time. He just said he wants to grow it long again.
His newest thing is a beard. It doesn't all grow in so well, so he is letting it get really long to cover up the patchy areas. It was weird at first, but now it is really interfering with my mood during sex. It feels like a mesh brillo pad scratching on my face! I tried to explain that to him, but he says that I'm "not accepting him for who he is." He uses this a lot when I give my input on his hair.
Has anyone had this issue before? Do you have any tips for a compromise?
Re: DH's new beard - kills my mood
compromise?
yeah.... tell him to shave it off or get used to taking ice cold showers.
"not accepting him for who he is" ?????
seriously? who did you marry, Alan Alda.
ask him what is more important - not needing to shave or having sex??
I would have the "ole' trac 2" in my hands by the time you finished the sentence
This, but I was thinking further down south from your pits.

Haha, this. Then when he brings it up, tell him you thought you were both supposed to go au naturel.
Make a big thing of sorting out a bag that fits over his head and keep it by the bed,...make it plain that sex is only going to happen with the bag in place......
.........He will eventually get the message!
man, you guys are cold! I cant imagine telling my guy he couldn't have sex with me unless his hair and facial hair was exactly to my standards. How would you feel if he said the same? Like he wouldn't do you until you shaved your legs or goodies? Not cool.
My guy's beard is super soft, and I love it. It frames his face in a really nice way. It took over a week to get long enough not to be scratchy, but it was worth the wait.
Yeah .... this happened last year. His grew in fully but one side was thicker than the other... eeek!! lol
I simply told him this time around, how much I didnt like it, and he didnt grow it out this year.
Sorry...GL!
How did you deal with the beard while he still had it? I think it is in my head because we had a really off night overall, and now my mind is blaming the beard. Either way, it's uncomfortable! We are going to have to find a workable solution in the meantime.... Thanks for the input ladies!
