Felix and I leave on Tuesday morning for Boston and we're driving straight to Maine! So... how cold is it really?
I'm bringing his JJ Cole bundleme, but I don't think I will bring it on the plane bc he tends to get really hot in it. I doubt we'll be outside much so I am just packing his normal CA winter clothes (pants, long sleeve shirts & onesies). I have one or two zip up sweaters for him and 2 flannel pj and 2 cotton pj's.
Re: prepare me for our trip
Thanks! I am running to Target in the morning so I will put flannel PJs on the list -- he barely needs them here (and I get cold so I keep the heat to 72 when it is cold out!)
20s and 30s sounds FREEZING! It was 59 here today
Eh, it's not so bad. It's not until it gets in the low teens and single digits, that it feels really cold to me. I go out to the mailbox barefoot in this weather
But Felix will probably not be up to that.
Def some warm pjs with feet. A good hat. The bundle me is amazing. When Luke was that age, we didn't dress him very warm the bundle me worked wonders and if we dressed him too warm he was sweating in that.
Hint on flying. Our bundle me was on our car seat and got grease from the security belt of the conveyor, big regret
But, I definitely needed it in the car on the way to the airport. So you may want to keep it handy for when you get out of the airport. Just a thought - or a thick blanket if you think someone will curbside pick you up and he'll only be outside for a bit.
Clothes and bundle me sounds like he'll be fine. Warmer pj's if whereever you are staying keeps it cold in the house. But a big YES! to a nice warm hat for the little guy.
Have a fun, safe and good trip!
Santa hat!
I had a child size Santa hat that I put on DD when I carried her around in her carseat her first Christmas. It was so cute.
Here's a vintage picture of Helen with the hat:
That picture is the cutest! I am going to be sure to pack his and take a pic of him by the tree... if he'll stay still for 3 seconds!
