Huge Recipe Rave!

I'm so ridiculously excited to post this rave.  I've been itching lately to try my hand at roasting a turkey and this was the big weekend.  I researched all the pre-thanksgiving posts (including Erica's!) and settled on Alton Brown's recipe that ked77 posted

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/good-eats-roast-turkey-recipe/index.html

It really was freakin' amazing.  I do NOT call myself a good cook.  I'm very nervous in the kitchen, but lately I've been getting more comfortable.  I bought a countertop roaster and decided to try the turkey in that.  It only took 2.5 hours to cook, and it was soooo tender & moist (he he!)  The ILs came over for dinner on their way back from the airport, and MIL said that it was even better than her turkey!  Whoa!  You do NOT get a Portuguese woman to say those words very easily!

Thanks for answering all my questions earlier this week!
